MISSION: Ecuador '09: We're back!

I just thought I would let you guys know that we are in Atlanta waiting for a connecting flight. I am very tired having awakened Friday morning in Patate, Ecuador and only slept an hour and a half on the flight from Quito to Atlanta. Its been a wonderful week, and I'm somewhat sad to be back, but glad in another sense as I missed my boys this week not getting to talk to them. It seems that I always leave a piece of myself in Ecuador, being apart of the ministry there and investing in the people. My prayer on our last day was that God would let me return to Ecuador, again.

Ecuador 2010 - The Vision:

Ecuador 09 has come and gone. I knew it would be fast and I'm already anxious to go back. While in Ecuador I began praying about next year, and asking God to allow me to return again. I believe God laid a number on my heart to return with in 2010. While we were there I also learned that M-Fuge would not return in 2010, buy God had already placed a desire on my heart to not only bring back East Paris people but also to invite and encourage other churches in our region. As I approached Steve Thompson (the missionary there) he began to tell me his idea for larger churches to be a point of contact for churches wanting to come. God is at work in Ecuador and He will draw His people to Him. Even as East Paris alone I believe God has already provided the resources to carry out His plan, but wouldnt it be great to invest in other smaller churches to be a part of something much bigger than we could imagine. So, start praying now for 2010, if our Lord tarries, I pray He will provide the means and lead the way for Ecuador in 2010! - John
