MISSION: Ecuador '09: Good morning from Quito!

Good morning from Quito Ecuador! We got in last night around 11 and got to our rooms and had a good nights sleep. Its 7:30 here at Hotel Quito and we've already had breakfast. We will board buses at 8:30 to head to Patate. Casey Bryans met us at the airport last night and it was really great to see a familiar face! He was glad to see the Nestle chocolate chips! Ha! I had to pause a minute to say hi to Casey, Renea, and the kids. I sent Kevin down to get a pic of them to put on here. Everything is well, and all of our luggage made it. I'll post some photos from this morning. Addios

Ecuador 2010 - The Vision:

Ecuador 09 has come and gone. I knew it would be fast and I'm already anxious to go back. While in Ecuador I began praying about next year, and asking God to allow me to return again. I believe God laid a number on my heart to return with in 2010. While we were there I also learned that M-Fuge would not return in 2010, buy God had already placed a desire on my heart to not only bring back East Paris people but also to invite and encourage other churches in our region. As I approached Steve Thompson (the missionary there) he began to tell me his idea for larger churches to be a point of contact for churches wanting to come. God is at work in Ecuador and He will draw His people to Him. Even as East Paris alone I believe God has already provided the resources to carry out His plan, but wouldnt it be great to invest in other smaller churches to be a part of something much bigger than we could imagine. So, start praying now for 2010, if our Lord tarries, I pray He will provide the means and lead the way for Ecuador in 2010! - John
